At Mountain Peak Creations we pride ourselves on providing high quality cedar carvings at reasonable prices. Danny only uses Western red cedar to carve due to the quality of the finished product and its resistance to weather and insects. All of Danny’s carvings are finished with Sikkens Door and Window or Sikkens Log and Siding products which help to seal and protect the wood from the suns UV rays and to keep the carvings looking fresh.
Danny designs and creates custom carvings of animals: bears, eagles, and fish; benches that incorporate carvings and signs.
He has also made custom furniture out of diamond willow such as benches, beds, coat trees, candle holders and lamps. You dream it, he'll carve it!
Danny is always learning and experimenting with new techniques and tools and constantly studying new forms. The beautiful scenery of the ocean and mountains where he lives and the abundant wildlife in the area keep him inspired. He makes his chainsaws more eco-friendly by using canola oil in his saws instead of regular chainsaw oil.
Each piece Danny carves is unique and original, no two carvings are ever alike due to the characteristics of the wood and the detail Danny puts into them.
